RBR Championship 2007 Rules

1. Championship

1.1 The championship shall consist of four rallies, each with three stages.
1.2 The top finishing drivers will be awarded 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 points.
1.3 The driver with the most points at the end of the Championship shall be the winner. If two or more drivers have the same amount of points, the driver with the most rally wins will be the winner. If the number of wins is tied then the winner will be the driver with the highest number of 2nd places and so on. In the unlikely event that all of these statistics are tied, the winner will be decided by a best two out of three match in Mortal Kombat II.
1.4 Each driver must select one of the following cars for the duration of the championship: Subaru Impreza (03 and 00), Citroen Xsara, Peugot 206, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, Hyundai Accent, Toyota Corolla, and the MG
1.5 Each participant will need RBR 1.02 along with RBR Net 3.0b.

2. Randomization

2.1 The rally country, surface, stages and weather shall be chosen randomly.
2.2 Each country, surface and stage will be assigned a number.
2.3 First a country will be chosen randomly, avoiding repeats.

2.4 Second, three stages will chosen randomly.
2.5 Third, each stage will be assigned good or bad weather. There will be a 25% chance of bad weather.

3. The Rally

3.1 On Friday night between 8 PM and 12 AM EDT the randomly chosen stages and weather shall be announced via IRC and on the WRSC web site.
3.2 Participants will have 48 after the stage are announced to submit times and associated replays for each stage to Chris J. or Vladimir M.
3.3 Participants are required to set their one and only time for each stage in the presence of no less than one other member of the championship over RBRnet.
3.4 Participants shall, under gentlemen's agreement, not practice on any of the three stages after they are announced until a time and replay have been submitted.
3.5 Participants shall, under gentlemen's agreement, only run one timed lap per stage.
3.6 Participants shall, under gentlemen's agreement, only run one tire for all three stages.
3.7 Participants are required to use "reduced" damage for the rally.

4. Stage Retirements

4.1 If a driver does not complete an entire stage for any reason, the driver shall report what if any sector they completed before retiring from the stage.
4.2 If the driver did not pass the first sector timing loop, they will be scored with a time equal to 125% of the slowest time scored on that stage by the other drivers.
4.3 If the driver passed the first timing loop, they will be scored with a time equal to 120% of the slowest time scored on that stage by the other drivers.
4.4 If the driver passed the second timing loop, they will be scored with a time equal to 115% of the slowest time scored on that stage by the other drivers.
4.5 If all the participating drivers do not finish a particular stage, it will not be scored.
4.6 Not completing a stage does not bar you from running the other stages of the rally.

5. Miscellany

5.1 Driver's real first names and last initials will be used in official race reports and in the standings.
5.2 Diamond Creek will be referred to as Dawson's Creek.
